Bondi Beach Shooter Identified: Naveed Akram, 24

The cousin of Ahmed al-Ahmed, the hero who fought back against the Bondi assailants, has given an update on his condition after he was shot twice during the horrific terror attack. Special live coverage continues on Channel 7 and 7plus.

Legendary director Rob Reiner and his wife were found stabbed to death in their Brentwood home. Officers blocked the street while detectives investigated. A man named Rocco, identifying himself as Reiner’s assistant, offered to help the police access the house.

Bus passengers crouched for safety as police responded to a shooting at Sydney’s iconic Bondi Beach on Sunday where at least 11 people were killed during a Jewish gathering, according to Australian officials. One of two gunmen identified in the shooting was also dead, police said. Another 29 people were taken to hospitals with injuries, including two officers and a child.

The shooting occurred during a Hanukkah event attended by about 1,000 people at a small park near the popular beach, NBC reports. 40 people remain in hospital, including two police officers who are reported to be in serious but stable condition.
