One of the largest funeral gatherings witnessed in Masjid Al Haram history .... The Funeral of Sheikh Abdul Aziz ibn Baz, which took place on 28 Muharram 1420 AH (14 May 1999). It is said thousands came to perform the Janazah Salat from inside and outside Saudi Arabia. In scenes like Hajj & Ramadan, a million gathered inside the Mataf near to the Ka’bah after the Jumuah Salat.
