This is a fun video that I filmed a few years ago of a beaver chewing on a chunk of cambium off of a large tree. Cambium, aka inner bark, is the layer of newly growing wood just under the bark. It is basically the new ring of growth on a tree. Because it is actively growing it is soft and nutritious, and it is one of the most important food sources for a beaver.
