Here are two tips for using dowels in projects! 1) if you cut a kerf size slit in the end, then the dowel will have a much easier time going in. To safety keep my fingers away while cutting the slit at the bandsaw, I made a quick jig that allowed me to push and pull the dowel through the blade. Then 2) put a small bevel on the tip of the dowel. I used my Triton Tools USA belt sander to achieve this. I like to use the very back to keep it consistent. #tips #tipsandtricks #themoreyouknow #diy #diy
