Former US President Bill Clinton’s time in office was plagued by numerous lawsuits. In 1994, Paula Jones, a former Arkansas state employee, filed a sexual harassment lawsuit against Clinton. This lawsuit set off the chain of events that led to Clinton’s impeachment, only the third in American history. Jones had alleged that Clinton had propositioned her and exposed himself during a conference in 1991. The lawsuit dragged on for years, until eventually, the decision was ruled in Clinton’s favour.
