ITALY'S MOUNT ETNA ERUPTS IN FIERY DISPLAY One of the world's most active volcanos has shot fountains of lava and plumes of smoke, illuminating the night sky. Mount Etna, on the east coast of Sicily, began exploding again on May 21 and has since erupted four times over the last six days. Etna is one of Italy's three active volcanos and the new round of explosions marks the 19th time the volcano has erupted since February. The volcano is extremely popular among tourists. | 10 News

Drone footage of volcanic Mount Etna captured a spectacular show of red lava flowing on Thursday morning, August 14. The National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology announced that the lava flow occurred at an altitude of approximately 2,900 metres.
