We took First Light over to the @cruising_yacht_club_australia for the official media launch of the @officialrolexsydneyhobart. It was such an honour to be invited to sit on the panel. Terrifying to be in front of all the cameras, but pretty incredible to be part of it and to feel the build up to the race starting to kick in. The trip home was not quite as polished. We had to leave at high tide because of our depth restrictions and missed the window to get back before the storm rolled through. W

Annie and I spontaneously decided to race double handed Gold Coast to Mackay @goldcoastmackayyachtrace. After a challenging start battling the A2 we were ripping along, we tried the autopilot for just a couple to minutes to put more gear on and she tried to gybe us and we ended with the spinnaker wrapped around the forestay and unable to sock her.
