This has been one of my favourite studies to draw. I love focusing on creating realistic fur and bringing as much depth possible to each section of the drawing. For this Dalmatian ear or drawing any kind of spots or markings, it's so important to get the edges soft with the right pencil technique. This ensures they don't end up like pulka dots or solid, rigid shapes. The fur direction, varying values and shading all follow the contours of the structures under the skin so each technique has it's
