Swedish Armored Troops is the armored branch of the Swedish Army. In 1922, after the World War I, ten tanks were procured and used by Svea Life Guards (I1). In 1928 a tank battalion was organized at Göta Life Guards (I2). The battalion was divided into two battalions in 1939; one in Skaraborg Regiment (I9) and one in Sördermanland Regiment (I10).
