Hunted for oldsquaw on the river 2 years ago and had some success. Wondering if hunting from shore is best or maybe trying to draw a spot at fort niagara to hunt? thanks

I looked for a guide for awhile but seems most got in trouble for one reason or another and don't do charters. I bought a 2072 sea ark and have decided I might try a go at it.

Oct 5, 2008 · Chances are likely that being a college student he doesn't have a boat to retrieve downed game in the Niagara River or Lake Ontario. Just my assumption. All the areas that I mentioned are walk in possibilities.

Apr 5, 2016 · I did 8 old squaw this time around to add to the 4 old squaw and 6 white-winged scoters I did in my first run. We hunt all sorts of ducks, but I really like chasing the sea ducks on the Lower Niagara River and Lake Ontario the few times we can get out after them. They decoy pretty readily and it was something I wanted to try.

Sep 26, 2011 · Some of the WMAs get crowded (Montezuma, Iroquois, Tonawanda, Oak Orchard), but they're OK in the early split if you're just starting out. The smaller Finger Lakes are good, but not Louisiana good. People like the Lower Niagara River/Lake Ontario for sea ducks, especially in the late season split. Chautauqua Lake is fun, and moderately productive.
