Glenmorangie distillery (pronounced with the stress on the second syllable: listen ⓘ; the toponym is believed to derive from either Gaelic Gleann Mòr na Sìth "vale of tranquillity" or Gleann Mór-innse "vale of big meadows") [3] is a distillery in Tain, Ross-shire, Scotland, that produces single malt Scotch whisky.

The Glenmorangie distillery is probably one of the best known in Scotland alongside Glenfiddich. The name “Glenmorangie” is derived from either the Gaelic Gleann Mòr na Sìth, which translates roughly as “valley of calm”, or Gleann Mór-innse, the “valley of large meadows”.

In this way, the distillation processes can be varied in the new plant, as well as through different condensations over copper or stainless steel and the optional use of a purifier. The Glenmorangie Lighthouse also has its own brewhouse. There they experiment with malt, yeast and water.
