Republicans in Congress have muscled President Donald Trump’s tax and spending bill to passage. At nearly 900 pages, the legislation is a sprawling collection of tax breaks, spending cuts and other Republican priorities,

“The Republicans in the House of Representatives have just passed the ‘ONE BIG BEAUTIFUL BILL ACT,’” Trump wrote on his social media platform after the bill passed the House of Representatives on a 218-214 vote Thursday. “Our Party is UNITED like never before and, our Country is ‘HOT.’”

President Donald Trump, assisted by Vice President JD Vance, remained in talks with lawmakers throughout the week to coax them into voting for the legislation.
