Yolanda Saldívar, who is serving a life sentence for the 1995 murder of pop star Selena, is seeking parole after three decades in prison, as fellow inmates claim the woman has a “bounty” on her head for slaying the “Queen of Tejano Music.”

Yolanda Saldívar, the woman who killed Tejano music singer Selena Quintanilla Perez, has officially filed for parole for the first time, according to documents filed with the Texas Department of Criminal Justice.

Yolanda Saldívar, 64, is currently serving a life sentence for the March 1995 murder. According to Texas Department of Criminal Justice records, Saldívar will be eligible for parole on March 30, and she is currently in the parole review process.

Prosecutors said the president of Selena’s fan club killed the Grammy award-winning singer after a confrontation over embezzled funds.

Yolanda Saldívar gunned down the singer after it was discovered she'd been embezzling money from her boutiques.

Saldívar, now 64 years-old, was sentenced to life in prison on Oct. 26, 1995, with the possibility of parole after 30 years.

Saldivar, who was the president of Selena’s fan club, was sentenced to life in prison for killing the 23-year-old. The Post reported that Salvidar’s parole hearing is scheduled for March 30. The newspaper reported that prosecutors said that Salvidar killed Selena because the Grammy winning singer was about to fire her for embezzling money.
