San Francisco police have announced they will hold a virtual town hall meeting next week to release more details about the killing of a shooting suspect following a standoff in the city's South of Market neighborhood on Monday.

On Jan. 27, a San Francisco police officer fatally shot a man who was suspected of shooting another person in an unprovoked incident.

The police department released footage from the standoff with the suspect of last week's shooting of a tenderloin shopkeeper.

San Francisco police said a shooting in the SoMa District Monday evening left one person injured. The shooting happened near Mission and 9th streets, just before 5 p.m. Police arrived at the scene and found one person suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was taken to the hospital. Their condition was not known.
