Notre Dame's best defensive lineman during the second half of the season was tackle Rylie Mills, a team captain that was named a second-team All-American by Sporting News. Mills was dominant down the stretch, registering 5.5 tackles for loss and 4.5 sacks in the final five games of teh season.
