Trae Young gave getting snubbed a new name after he was iced out of this year’s NBA All-Star Game. The Atlanta Hawks point guard, who’s a three-time All-Star, sent a PSA after the reserves were announced on Thursday night.

ATLANTA — Atlanta Hawks Trae Young has come up with a new word that’s very familiar to his lack of being named an NBA All-Star. “It’s no longer getting “snubbed” it’s getting “Traed” at this point,” Young posted on X.

Among those to make the cut are first-timer Victor Wembanyama and 21st-timer LeBron James. Six teams had multiple selections, while only two teams above .500 — the Dallas Mavericks and Sacramento Kings — had none. The game is once again stacked with recognizable talent, but there were plenty more players beyond the 24 players selected.

Sabonis has been a prototypical snub since he got to Sacramento four years ago. He puts up huge numbers for a team outside of title contention and sometimes gets lost in the fray as a result. He’s actually made more All-NBA teams than All-Star Games in his full seasons with the Kings.

On Thursday, Darius Garland, Cade Cunningham, Damian Lillard and Tyler Herro were named the four Eastern Conference guard reserves. Instantly, fans and analysts alike were critical of the coaches for snubbing Young. The Hawks guard himself expressed his displeasure.

Apart from Herro and Cunningham, the other Eastern Conference reserves that were selected to the All-Star game over Young include Jaylen Brown, Pascal Siakam, Darius Garland, Evan Mobley and Damien Lillard. The East starters consist of Damian Lillard , Tyrese Haliburton , Jayson Tatum , Giannis Antetokounmpo and Joel Embiid.
