The Mega Millions jackpot rose to $60 million for the drawing on Friday, July 4 after no one matched all the winning numbers in the drawing on Tuesday, July 1. If someone matches all six numbers on Friday, they will have the option of a one-time cash payment of $26.9 million.

Nearly 300,000 other tickets sold in the United States also won prizes ranging from $10 to $40,000 in the drawing.

Mega Millions tickets are sold in 45 states, Washington, D.C., and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Tickets are $5 each and include a randomly assigned multiplier, multiplying the base prize levels by 2X, 3X, 4X, 5X or 10X.
