Houston remains much warmer than normal for early February, but a return to more typical late winter temperatures is in the forecast for next week.

A cold front that brought the chance for showers and a few strong storms will bring in cooler and drier air for tonight. That will mean an end to the widespread fog and any rain and storm threat with temperatures dipping to the low 50s for Houston overnight.

Southeast Texas can expect clearer, sunnier skies on Friday with highs in the upper 60s to near 70 degrees after days of clouds.
