Sigma Alpha Epsilon expelled the students in their organization who are accused of being involved in an hate crime incident in October at Salisbury University in Wicomico, a spokesperson for the national organization said Monday.

The Salisbury University students were accused of slapping, beating and spitting on a man after one allegedly made a Grindr account to lure him to an apartment.

The 12 men face charges including first-degree assault and hate crime after an alleged beating off the campus of Salisbury University.
