Indiana Conservation Officers said they are investigating an incident that claimed the life of a Greencastle man after his golf cart broke through the ice of Glenn Flint Lake.

A 60-year-old man died after a golf cart he was driving toppled through a frozen lake in Indiana, authorities say. First responders were dispatched to Glenn Flint Lake in Putman County on Sunday, Jan. 26, for a report of a golf cart breaking through the ice, according to an Indiana Department of Natural Resources news release.

A 60-year-old man is dead after driving his golf cart onto a lake and falling through the ice. Jeffrey Nowak of Greencastle was pulled from the water by first responders and rushed to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.
