Piastri and team-mate Lando Norris have been chipping away at Red Bull's constructors' lead since the second quarter of the season, and a dramatic race in Baku saw them flip the switch for the first time since the start of 2014.

Red Bull had led the standings for 55 consecutive races dating back to the Spanish Grand Prix in 2022. Red Bull led in the standings for the final 17 races of 2022, romped to last season’s title with a record points haul, and it led for the first 16 races of this season.

McLaren is ahead of Red Bull in the Formula 1 constructors’ race. Now for Lando Norris to put pressure on Max Verstappen for the drivers’ title.
