The Diamondbacks optioned slumping outfielder Jake McCarthy to Triple-A Reno, the second time in the past three years McCarthy has struggled out of the gate and found himself back in the minors.

Sent down to Reno to work on his swing, Jake McCarthy is getting good results at the plate over his first 11 games.
