Milan goalkeeper Mike Maignan has been released from hospital after being monitored overnight following a head collision with team-mate Alex Jimenez during Friday’s four-goal Serie A win at Udinese.

Thankfully, as confirmed by the goalkeeper himself this evening, everything is fine as he avoided a serious injury. As Maignan hit the ground in the 52nd minute, many feared the worst.

France goalkeeper Maignan appeared to be knocked unconscious in the 51st-minute incident but, after undergoing treatment on the pitch, was fully conscious when he was carried off on a stretcher.
