Loomer also followed up with her initial report, stating that if Attorney General Pam Bondi is fired, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis is being floated as a possible replacement.

Her call follows a similar suggestion from former White House chief strategist Steve Bannon, who last week urged the administration to either appoint a special counsel or ask a court to unseal the files.

Loomer, the self-described “proud Islamophobe” who has gained increasing influence with Donald Trump in recent months, was the subject of a lengthy profile in the Times this week about how she’s evolved into the president’s “blunt instrument” and “ideological purity enforcer.”
