At least 10 people have been killed as a result of the wildfires, the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner said on Thursday.

The latest fire in Los Angeles is being investigated as a potential arson attack, according to NBC. The blaze, known as the Kenneth Fire, is burning in the city's West Hills area with zero per cent containment as it spreads across nearly 400 hectares.

The Kenneth Fire started around 2 p.m. on Thursday afternoon in an area of dry brush in the Upper Las Virgenes Canyon Open Space just north of the 101 Freeway.
