Peacemaker, one of DC’s most unique shows, is set to return with a highly anticipated season 2. The series, created by James Gunn and starring John Cena as the tough yet morally conflicted Peacemaker, brings humor, action, and plenty of emotional depth.

James Gunn, co-chief of DC Studios, recently clarified the new DC Universe timeline. He confirmed that Creature Commandos will be released first, followed by Superman, and then Peacemaker Season 2. Gunn had previously stated in an interview that Creature Commandos acts as the initial installment,

Peacemaker 2] is after [Superman] which is after [Creature Commandos],” Gunn wrote on Threads, when a fan asked if Grillo’s black hair indicates Peacemaker season 2 takes place before Creature Commandos.

HBO has released an extremely short but action-packed teaser for season 2 of its popular DC show Peacemaker, as well as a promising 2025 release window. DC boss James Gunn has since shared the snippet on Twitter writing,

The second season of Peacemaker, starring John Cena, is coming in 2025. Peacemaker, the spin-off of James Gunns’ The Suicide Squad, premiered on HBO MAX in January 2022. The season finale aired in February 2022.
