A man was arrested over the weekend and accused of lying to state police when he said a driver pointed a gun at him during a road rage incident on Interstate 84 last year.

Gerard Carbonaro, 61, of Oxford, was arrested police said he lied about a Middlebury road rage incident in March.

A driver threatened to use a gun on another driver in an apparent case of road rage in Simsbury, according to police.

A 62-year-old man admitted to instigating a road rage incident earlier this week but said he didn't expect his rival to attack him with a boxcutter, authorities said. Christopher O’Connor, 58, of Newtown,
