President Donald Trump said Wednesday that Israel would be the “leader” of a potential military strike against Iran if Tehran doesn’t give up its nuclear weapons program.

Earlier, Tehran rejected Washington's proposal for "direct" negotiations over US President Donald Trump's "maximum pressure" campaign and threats of military action against Iran.

President Donald Trump said on Monday he believes Iran is intentionally delaying a nuclear deal with the United States and that it must abandon any drive for a nuclear weapon or face a possible military strike on Tehran's atomic facilities.
