The news of the midair collision in Washington, D.C., weighed heavy on passengers catching flights at Milwaukee's Mitchell International. WISN 12 News spoke with passengers as they headed to their various destinations.

All 67 people aboard the American Airlines jet and Army helicopter are dead after they collided midair over Ronald Reagan National Airport near Washington, D.C. It's the type of situation the Milwaukee Fire Department trains for. In fact, members of the dive team have responded to aviation disasters in the Milwaukee area.

At least one flight to Washington, D.C. was canceled out of Milwaukee. FOX6 News checked in at Mitchell International Airport to see how travelers are dealing with the news out of our nation's capital.
