A missing boy was found dead in the Merrimack River after he fell into the water in Lowell almost two weeks ago.

Authorities in Massachusetts say a young boy who was swept away after falling into the Merrimack River has been found dead.

According to the Middlesex District Attorney’s Office, an off-duty state trooper who was on the river in his personal boat found a body in the water near the Trull Brook Golf Course in Tewksbury.
