The Blue Flag was established in 1987, the European Year of the Environment. The first location in Campania to obtain it was Pollica.

Fourteen of these beaches have been awarded the prestigious Blue Flag status, with standout spots like Kourion Beach, Pissouri Bay, and Lady’s Mile consistently earning top marks from travellers.
