A new piece of equipment at the Haywood County Sheriff’s Office helps protect deputies during intense situations.

Renee Dufner with Special Olympics said teams of 10 to 15 will try their hand at pulling a 19,000-pound SWAT Bearcat truck a distance of 100 meters. She said there is also a new addition this year.
