New Jersey sends second-round pick and Herman Traff to Anaheim

The New Jersey Devils acquired defenseman Brian Dumoulin in a trade with the Anaheim Ducks on Thursday, receiving a conditional second-round 2025 draft pick and prospect Herman Traff in exchange. The Devils can use depth on the back end with defenseman Dougie Hamilton sidelined week-to-week due to a lower-body injury.

The Ducks acquire right wing Herman Träff and a conditional 2025 second-round draft pick for the defenseman who cost them a 2026 fourth-rounder in a trade with Seattle in July.
