The Flyers made a late-night shakeup, reaching a deal with the Flames that sent longtime faces Joel Farabee and Morgan Frost to Calgary. In return, the Flyers are getting wingers Andrei Kuzmenko and Jakob Pelletier, a second-round draft pick this summer and a seventh-round draft pick in 2028.
Farabee and Morgan Frost (undisclosed) were traded to the Flames from the Flyers on Thursday in exchange for Jakob Pelletier, Andrei Kuzmenko, a 2025 second-round pick and a 2028 seventh-round pick, Pierre LeBrun of TSN reports.

Joel Farabee and Morgan Frost played their last game with the Flyers on Thursday night. The team sent both forwards to Calgary in a trade with the Flames. In return, the Flyers received Andrei Kuzmenko, Jakob Pelletier, a 2025 second-round pick and 2028 seventh-round pick.
The Flyers added to the evening’s trade buzz when Frost was pulled midway through a 3-0 loss to the New York Islanders. Philadelphia drafted the six-foot, 193-pound forward from Aurora, Ont., in the first round, 27th overall, in 2017.
On the surface of the big trade between the Calgary Flames and Philadelphia Flyers, it appears the Flames got the much better of the deal. That might be true today, especially if we judge the deal based on what the Flames need as they push for a playoff spot.
