An Alabama city is facing a multi-million dollar lawsuit on behalf of a man who was shown being tased while in handcuffs in a viral video.

A man in Alabama filed a $20 million federal civil rights lawsuit on Tuesday, alleging a police officer repeatedly used a Taser on him while he was detained and compliant in handcuffs. A video of the encounter appears to show Micah Washington,

The lawsuit highlights the excessive force, deliberate indifference, malicious prosecution and wrongful detainment” of Micah Washington, said his attorney.
