The United States military has set up a second military zone along the border with Mexico. They have now added an area in Texas where troops can temporarily detain migrants or trespassers. This comes after another zone was newly designated in New Mexico last month.

The Defense Department says it has designated a second stretch on the U.S. border with Mexico as a military zone to enforce immigration laws.

Border agents in the past week have arrested at least seven migrants for trespassing on military property while entering the United States illegally in southern New Mexico.
