SHIV KUMAR Gautam, shooter in the Baba Siddique murder case, told police that he was motivated to gun down Siddique by wanted accused Shubham Lonkar who convinced him that he was carrying out a ‘patriotic and religious act’ in addition to being promised money and a trip abroad.

The investigation into the Baba Siddique murder case by the Mumbai Crime Branch has revealed that Gurmail Singh, who was arrested along with Dharmraj Kashyap near the crime scene, was the main shooter and was initially supposed to lead Kashyap and Shivakumar Gautam.

The shooter, Shiv Kumar Gautam, fled from the spot after shooting Baba Siddique, changed his clothes, threw his bag, Aadhar car and pistol, following which he returned to the spot, sources said.
