EAST MEADOW, NY -- New York Islanders defenseman Noah Dobson will be out week-to-week after he sustained a lower-body injury in their 3-1 win against the Columbus Blue Jackets. The injury will not require surgery.

Dobson 's lower-body injury will not require surgery but he is still considered week-to-week, Stefen Rosner of NHL.com reports Thursday.

Dobson, 25, sustained an injury to his right leg 1:16 into the third period of Monday night’s 3-1 win over the Blue Jackets at UBS Arena when it bent awkwardly following a check by Columbus’ Cole Sillinger. He left the ice and did not return.

With Noah Dobson now out due to injury and with no timetable for his return, Romanov will be heavily relied upon to carry out some of the workload.
