Fire destroyed several structures Thursday evening on the grounds of the Renaissance Festival, but officials say they expect to open on schedule later this summer.

Authorities in Shakopee say 10 structures that house retail shops and food vendors at the Minnesota Renaissance Festival were destroyed in large fire Thursday evening. The Shakopee Fire Department said crews from 10 fire departments were called to fight the blaze, which was reported around 6 p.m.
