An air traffic control supervisor was arrested Friday after allegedly assaulting a colleague in the control tower at Ronald Reagan National Airport. Damon Marsalis Gaines, 39, of Maryland, was charged with misdemeanor assault and battery,

“Due to staffing shortages, the Lewiston Nez Perce County air traffic control tower will have reduced operating hours, effective Monday,” according to the airport news release. “Pilots are encouraged to check notice to airmen … before flying in and out of (Lewiston) and verify that they are on the correct frequency.”
