India said on Monday that it has reopened 32 airports that were shut during clashes with neighbour Pakistan, after a ceasefire over the weekend.

Hindon and 31 other key airports located near border areas have been temporarily closed for passenger flights. As a result, on May 11 alone, 96 domestic flights had to be canceled from Delhi Airport 52 of which were scheduled for takeoff.

A new NOTAM (Notice to Airmen) has been released for the opening of these airports. The airlines, however, may take some time to resume flight operations as they will have to inform the passengers in advance.
