Before then, a lucky lottery ticket holder in Illinois took home a $344 million jackpot on March 25, while another lucky person hit the Mega Millions jackpot on Jan. 17 for $113 million.

The Mega Millions jackpot for Tuesday’s lottery drawing has increased to an estimated $70 million, with a cash option of $31.8 million. The winning numbers were: 16, 33, 40, 51 and 57. The Mega Ball drawn was 10. No one across the country hit Friday’s $60 million jackpot. There were also no second-prize tickets worth at least $2 million sold.
