There have been three Mega Millions winners this year already, with the most recent being the April 18 win in Ohio of a $112 million jackpot. Before then, a lucky lottery ticket holder in Illinois took home a $344 million jackpot on March 25, while another lucky person hit the Mega Millions jackpot on Jan. 17.

A Mega Millions player just missed the jackpot — but still won a prize worth celebrating in Virginia. The player bought a ticket that matched all but one number picked in the April 29 drawing, making it worth $2 million, results show. The winning numbers: white balls 16-33-40-51-57, with gold Mega Ball 10.

After over a monthlong wait, the $349 million Mega Millions prize winners have finally come forward. The jackpot, won in a drawing on March 25, went unclaimed until April 30, Illinois Lottery officials said.
