Israel launched an airstrike on Beirut early Friday, marking the first attack on the Lebanese capital since the ceasefire that ended the latest Israel-Hezbollah conflict in November.According to the Associated Press,

The Israel-Hezbollah conflict boiled over into all-out war in September as Israel carried out waves of airstrikes and killed most of the militant group’s senior leaders. The fighting killed over 4,000 people in Lebanon and displaced about 60,000 Israelis.

Israel said it was targeting a building in the Dahiyeh suburb used by Hezbollah to store drones, after early morning rockets were fired from southern Lebanon toward northern Israel on Friday.
