Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood honored former President Jimmy Carter with a performance of John Lennon's 'Imagine' during the national funeral.

The pair paid tribute to former President Carter at his state funeral on Thursday, performing John Lennon's "Imagine."

The former president and once-again-future president, who are historically something less than besties, chatted it up before the service began. (Michelle Obama was not in attendance.)

3:30 p.m. Carter’s casket and family landed at Lawson Army Airfield in Fort Moore, Georgia, and his casket was transferred to a hearse that will carry him via motorcade to his hometown of Plains, Georgia, where he will be buried. 1:47 p.m. Carter’s casket and family departed the D.C.-area Joint Base Andrews on Air Force One en route to Plains.

Trump is obviously no fan of Biden, but Obama and his veep also have a famously complex relationship, only made more so after Obama helped nudge Biden to quit the presidential race last summer. Surely Obama feels some frustration that Biden fumbled a possibly winnable race; maybe he couldn’t help spill to his sworn enemy?
