There was a line of thinking that Jimmy Butler didn't put his foot on the gas in Golden State's Game 2 loss to the Timberwolves because he was saving up his energy for Game 3 at home, when the Warriors were likely to have their best shot to steal the one win they need in this series to stay afloat until Stephen Curry can potentially get back.

Steve Kerr compared Jimmy Butler to Andre Iguodala with his leadership: "First, he had a fantastic coat on. He's so smart. He reminds me so much of Andre Iguodala, incredible basketball IQ and the ability to communicate what he's seeing to see his teammates from the bench."

ESPN's Ohm Youngmisuk reported Stephen Curry, Draymond Green and Butler called the "emotional players-only meeting" on Saturday shortly after the team landed in Houston. Head coach Steve Kerr didn't join until the meeting was well underway and Green had already addressed his mistakes from the Game 6 loss.
