A couple from Bishop Auckland have won the 'People’s Choice Award' in a prestigious international short film competition, after shooting their passion project on their hometown high street.

It does not necessarily reflect the view of The Herald. Tens of thousands of people descend on Bishop Auckland every year for its food festival but until this year, I was not one of them.
