Eternal Strands is a light and breezy fantasy action RPG that's elevated by its innovative use of physics-based magic that makes even minor combat encounters feel novel. It's also thrilling to take on the larger foes, though this is more short-lived than the likes of Monster Hunter.

Eternal Strands will hit PC, PS5 and XSX/S players today, and industry media have already published the first reviews.

There's a lot of walking to do in Eternal Strands, but the game's fast travel system should cut that down by a fair bit.

Few games have managed to capture the same sense of scale and spectacle as Shadow of the Colossus’s gargantuan boss fights, and none with the same kind of focus on improvisational combat as Eternal Strands.
