Over-the-counter (OTC) ear drops are available to treat ear infection pain and other common conditions like swimmer's ear.

Hydrogen peroxide is a common ingredient in eardrops that can help remove earwax by adding oxygen to the wax, causing it to bubble and soften. Earwax is a waxy substance secreted in the ear canal.

Carbamide peroxide 6.5%; otic soln. 5–10 drops into ear. Keep drops in ear several minutes. Use twice daily for up to 4 days if needed. May irrigate with warm water.
