EIELSON AIR FORCE BASE, Alaska — US Air Force airmen from the 354th Maintenance Squadron munitions flight built the first bombs intended for the 354th Fighter Wing's F-35A Lighting IIs June 15-19.

The crash occurred just before 1 p.m. local time within the fence line of Eielson Air Force Base, about 25 miles southeast of Fairbanks, Alaska, according to 354th Fighter Wing Public Affairs.
